The British Barbers was founded by Hassan El Gamal, a Master Barber whose training began in 1999 through the Egyptian Barbers Academy and who holds membership of the British Barbers’ Association. Before establishing the shop, Hassan served as private barber to a member of the Bahraini royal family — an education in discretion as much as in craft. That history is not on the wall to impress; it is in the hands, in the timing, in the finish. Mastery, when it is real, is something you feel rather than something you are told.
