This is the seventh and final piece in our Hospitality × Precision series.
The Royal Package at The British Barbers is the only service we offer that combines all four of the daily rituals from the previous six pieces — the Ceylon tea, the Saudi dates, the fresh coffee, and the considered stillness of the waxing chair. Two hours in the Master’s chair, with the full hospitality of the room around it.
It is also our most discreet service. The chair is reserved for one gentleman at a time, and the barber is Mr Hassan El Gamal himself.

What the Royal Package Includes
Four services performed in a single, unhurried sequence:
- A precision haircut — Royal Haircut by the Master himself, scissors over comb, finished by hand
- An Ultimate British Shave — three rounds of preparation, two passes of the straight razor
- A Hair Spa — scalp assessment, warm steam, professional tonic, balancing wash
- A beard sculpt — defined neckline, cheek line, and shape, tailored to your face
The order is deliberate. The spa comes first to settle the scalp. The cut follows on freshly relaxed hair. The shave is performed once the head is fully ready. The beard is shaped last, against the new cut.
Service: Royal Package — SGD 325
The Hospitality Across Two Hours
Each of the four services is paired with the ritual that suits it:
- A first cup of Ceylon tea as the consultation begins
- A small dish of Saudi dates during the pause between the Ultimate Shave’s two passes
- A cup of freshly brewed coffee after the beard sculpting is complete
- A second cup of Ceylon tea, optional, at the end — for the gentleman who is not yet ready to leave
None of these appear on the bill. They are simply how the chair runs when Mr Hassan El Gamal is the barber.
Why It Takes Two Hours
None of the four services can be hurried. The Hair Spa needs its time on the scalp. The Royal Haircut needs its time of consultation and unhurried scissor work. The Ultimate British Shave needs three rounds of preparation before the blade touches the skin. The beard sculpt needs the patience of a man who has shaped a thousand jaw lines.
Two hours is what it takes to do all four properly. We do not offer a shorter version.
Who Books the Royal Package
This is not a service men book casually. It is booked deliberately, for occasions that earn it:
- The groom, three days before his wedding
- The father of the bride, the morning of
- The visiting executive, the day before a board meeting
- The diplomat, the week before being received
- The gentleman returning from a long stretch away from his usual rituals
- The man who has had a difficult quarter, and is buying himself two hours of nothing being asked of him
The Master Barber Behind the Chair
Mr Hassan El Gamal began his journey in male grooming in 1999, training under the Egyptian Barbers Academy. He earned his Master Barber distinction in 2004 and holds guild accreditation in both the British Barbers Association and the Egyptian Barbers Academy.
Before opening The British Barbers in Singapore, he was the private barber to His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, son of the King of Bahrain. He has performed the equivalent of this Royal Package for ministers, ambassadors, and chief executives whose names remain private out of respect and discretion.
What Our Gentlemen Say After
Read the Google reviews of those who have sat through the Royal Package and the same phrases appear. Felt like more than a haircut. Two hours that I needed. The hospitality stayed with me longer than the cut.
This is luxury male grooming in its complete form — at the best barbershop in Singapore. Not a single service. Not even four services. A two-hour experience in which the precision and the hospitality are inseparable from each other.
How to Reserve
